Pcb Assembly: Great Electrical Devices For Better Functioning
Various
companies are superior in providing electronic device like PCB assembly i.e.
printed Circuit Board Assembly. There are various types of assemblies including
single sided, double sided PCB assembly and multi sided assembly etc. with
respect to their dimensions, ground panes, number of layers and surface
coatings. Surface mount technology is used for producing electrical circuits in
which various parts are placed on the PCB assembly. Surface mount assembly has
replaced the through hole technology building technique of fixing the parts with
the help of lead wire into the board.
What is PCB assembly?
PCB
is Printed Circuit board assembly is the device used to give mechanical support
and the electrical components can be connected through conductive pathways that
are fixed from copper sheets and plated on a non-conductive support. These are
the commercially manufactured electronic products. PCB assembly is a combination
of electric components and thus called as Printed Board Circuit Assembly.
Double sided printed circuit board are different than single
sided ones as these are stepped up on the bigger panel made of fiducial marks to
support the assembly and can be freed from the panel with the help of bridges.
With the help of these Rigid flex
PCB, number of assemblies can be manufactured at a time and many of them can
be assembled together to reduce the processing time. The complete range is
produced using Polyimide, RT duroid, PTFE, FR2, FR4, CEM1 and CEM2. Double sided
PCB assembly are made with various specification and they are: Immersion gold flex PCB, Electro less nickel,
Immersion tin, photo image solder in different colors, surface coatings and
silkscreen legend.
The surface is made of Hot Air Solder leveling,
Immersion Gold or Nickel, Electrolyte Gold or Nickel and OSP finish. The
surfaces of the assemblies are coated with peel-able mask, photo image able
solder and component notation. Both single sided and double sided PCB assembly
are in demand in the market.
Advantages of Surface mount
assembly:
There are several advantages of Surface Mount Assembly over
through hole technique which includes smaller components in dimensions, greater
component density and connections, lesser holes to be drilled out, quicker and
simpler automated assembly, components can be mounted on both the sides, cost of
parts are less, improved EMC compatibility and good mechanical performance.
